On September 28, the 2026 Sichuan Culture and Tourism Development Conference saw its grand opening in Chengdu. In an interview, Huang Biyi, Vice President of the Thai Travel Agents Association stressed, “The continuous convenience fostered by visa-free policies and direct flights makes it possible for Thai travelers to reach Sichuan in a little over 2 hours and leads them on a distinct cultural journey. Whether they’re traveling for the natural landscapes or cultural experiences, Sichuan is gradually emerging as a new choice for Thai travelers to explore the unique side of China this region reveals.”
