Tall and beautiful, in the shape of horseshoes, calla lilies are familiar to us. Though it’s called lily, it’s nothing like a lily. Their structure is quite interesting: their petals roll up like scrolls and enfold stamens.

Calla lilies like warmth and sunlight. But when it’s too hot or too cold, calla lilies will enter into the dormancy stage. However, the calla lilies in some place with appropriate environment may have no dormancy or very short dormancy.

During the dormancy, calla lilies require little water or fertilizer. The excessive irrigation or fertilization would hamper their dormancy. The raisers can water them in the morning and evening in summer, and at the noon in winter.
