In the Sanxingdui Museum, you will never miss a "big and tall figure". He is 260.8 cm in height and about 180 kg in weight, which is very eye-catching. It is the leader of many bronze figures in the museum, the treasure of the museum, and also the giant standing bronze figure, the bronze figure of the largest dimensions in the world during the same period of that time.

The giant standing bronze figure had been sleeping in the ruins of the ancient city of Sanxingdui for more than 3,000 years until 1986 when archaeologists excavated the No.2 sacrificial pit.

The giant standing figure is composed of two parts, i.e. base and figure (260.8cm high in total, and the base is 80cm in height). The base is trapezoidal, and there are four dragons connected between base and pedestal platform, with open mouth and teeth. The dragon body is slightly rolled up, as if the bronze standing figure is lifted from the sacrificial altar into the half air.

The table top of the base is flat and square, decorated with curling clouds around it, like a piece of flying colorful cloud. The giant standing figure stands barefoot on it, and seemingly symbolizes that he is about to rise into the clouds.

Archaeological experts believe that the entire base can be understood as a house of worship or sacrificial altar that communicates with heaven and earth.
